But none of that stopped me from putting hats on Finn just for the hell of it. Because I realized one of the many, many benefits of having such a good baby is being able to make him model for me.
Saturday we rented the last car in the entire United Kingdom and after fighting with the car rental people about the difference between a 'people carrier' and a 'wagon' and what the true meaning of 'take ANY car in Zone 3' means, my mom and I crammed ourselves on either side of Finn and we were off to Bath.
Then we had an exciting evening in Swindon. Swindon, for those who don't know, which I would assume is everyone, was the only place with a hotel room in the UK on Saturday. One of us (me) waited way too long to book a hotel and a car, but I will use Finn as my excuse for that.
My parents gave us another night alone, but since there are no restaurants there we ate at our hotel, the Hilton. Which was a carvery, which means you choose meat, meat or more meat, and some vegetables, and it is all sitting out for who knows how long under a heat lamp. Which is one of my least favorite things in the world. I had a vegetable cake. It was as good as it sounds, which means blech. But we had time alone, and that is all that matters. Then we watched Eurovision, which has to be brought to the States. It just has to. If you don't know what it is you need to google it, but it is the most watched non-sporting event in the world. Think about that for a minute.
Sunday we headed in the cold, windy rain to Stonehenge. We were the only people there!
Okay, maybe not, but I somehow got pictures that made it appear that way, so I am happy with that.

It is, as it is every week, hard to believe that Finn is 15 weeks old. He is holding his head up all the time, he is rolling over, he talks almost as much as me, he may be teething, and he is just unbelievably happy.
